		Board of Directors Stepping Stones Children's Center, Inc., is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1979 to provide education and care for children and families. Legal, financial, community matters, and governmental regulations are overseen by a parent and community member volunteer Board of Directors. As the governing body, the board formalizes the goals of the center, sets policy to implement these goals, reviews, evaluates, and makes decisions regarding the overall program to insure the organization's continued success. What makes our board unique is that at least 50% of its members are to be parents of children in our programs. Their "investment" in our programs and their dedication to quality are vital to the organization. Our history is rich with outstanding parent support. The 2008 Board Members: "When I am creating art, I am learning: about physical and material boundaries, to exercise my imagination and creativity, that my ideas have value, to express myself with pictures and objects."
