We are committed to providing high quality education and child care in an environment that fosters positive relationships among our children, staff, families and the community we serve.
![]() History Stepping Stones Children's Center, Incorporated is a private, non-profit organization established in 1979 to provide care and education to children and their families in Northern Allegheny and Southern Butler counties. The families and children enrolled in Stepping Stones programs represent a diverse range of racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds. Stepping Stones has grown from a single site providing care to 12 children, supported by Eden Hall Farm, to six sites serving over 300 children.

Stepping Stones Chilren's Center, Inc. through its Families, Staff, Board and Administration affirms its commitment to these values for our children and the community. We will work diligently to: Create and maintain standards of high quality care and education for children and youth Monitor the economic climate in the organization to foster quality programming and growth Design and maintain high quality physical environments that are safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing Promote innovative and creative development of programs, services, and solutions for children and their families Respect and foster the unique talents and abilities of each child Model behaviors that teach tolerance and respect for differences Create a spirit of cooperation and partnership with and among community organizations Serve as advocates for children, families, and the early childhood profession Maintain high standards of ethical conduct Maintain high standards of professionalism Encourage teamwork
Goal A: To maintain and expand enrollment in existing programs and space to capacity. Goal B: To expand programs in Pine-Richland and surrounding school districts. Goal C: To obtain and maintain program accreditation from NAEYC and NSACA. Goal D: To improve and expand facilities at the Main Center. Goal E: To increase the availability and use of technology in all programs and administration. Goal F: To enhance the
financial position of the corporation to support the Strategic Plan.
